For the first time, I was able to do a fun “field trip” with the Scouts… Up to Mt. Hood to play in the snow! We weren’t sure if it was going to be a good play day because of all the rain we had the days before, but it was BEAUTIFUL! Still snowy, cold and windy, but bearable for a while at least!
The trek to the lodge… I think there was 20 kids and 10 adults
Jakob getting ready to head up the hill to inner tube down it
This is the view of the lodge from the top of the hill… 4 levels, wood-stove heated, many (MANY) bunk beds
and a few ADULTS (not me) taking tumbles down the hills… fun entertainment at least!
Several kids and adults made an igloo
This is about a 3rd of the kids that went… we were the last of out group to leave.
It was a fun but long day… I am glad that I went and equally glad that I didn’t have to drive (thanks Ken!!!)
