[sigh]

Isaac and I were doing quicky Walmart errands (HATE THEM!) when he told me that he wanted a hug... that's been happening a lot lately with him not feeling good. When I leaned down to give him a hug, he looked up at me through sunglasses and said the most precious words:

"Mommy, I so proud of you!"

Oh. My. I had to repeat it to him to make sure that I heard him right... Yup, I did. That is enough to just squeeze him!!!

So I haven't been to horrible this week... SWEET!

Isaac: a new phase

I did it again!

I did something that makes him a little bit more of a big boy.

In moment of spontaneity, we went and Isaac got a big boy haircut!

My sisters and my parents will all say that it is about time, but, you know how it is with your last baby... you do just about anything to keep them from growing up! But, alas, it was time.

YIKES!!! Where did the last 2 years go????

[sigh] It's happened.

It is a stage that I have been putting off.

It is one that I denied for months with all my boys...

but I must admit, this boy is especially hard.

This is my BABY!!!

He is officially out of his crib and into this bed -

that was Christian and Jakob's and was also used by their cousin, Ryan

I took apart his crib, then Chris and Jake helped me bring in the pieces of the car bed. We got it all set up and put the mattress in it... Isaac immediately laid down in it and sighed! He just laid there! It is quiet obvious that he is going to love this bed as much as they all did!

[sigh] My little boy...

Hurray.

Today was a beautiful day. 70's. Yay.

Normally, I would have the windows open, doing laundry, being outside, etc. Right?

Nope, not today.

I spent the vast majority of my day with 2 sick boys: Christian threw up (and other bodily functions that I won't name but you get the point), 101+ fever, not eating, very tired, severe headache. Isaac started off the week with a sinus infection and now has a 101+ fever and a headache, and doesn't want anything but me.

We left at 10am. Got home at 3:45 - 3 hours at the Dr's office. Going to Salem, being at the Dr's office, coming home from Salem.

That was my FABULOUS day.

Wow. I can't believe it is possible.

Today is Jakob's 7th Birthday!
My second boy has grown up so fast

that he is taller than his older brother!

Wasn't it just yesterday that I came home with a 9lb 4oz baby boy?

And now he is a boy that

always has a twinkle in his eye,

is near-fluent in spanish,

loves school and his brothers

and is always ready to give loves...

Happy Birthday Jakob!
