No matter what look that is on their faces, they are handsome, funny, thoughtful and sweet boys... and they belong to me. I couldn't be any prouder!

Camping 2010

Another year of Lowen Camping has passed...

We all look forward to it every year-

-- the family (there is a totaly of 49 of us, ages 1 yr 10 months to 92 years old and only 1 of us was missing this year. 17 of those 49 are in my immediate family!)

-- the food (every year there is WAY too much food and we end up eating like pigs and still bringing home a lot of it! But it will always be that way!)

-- the long, in-depth conversations (did I mention that there are 19 kids under the age of 12???)

-- the fire and the stories that come along with a bunch of adults sitting around a fire (let's just say that there was some great stories told about muscles!)

-- bugs. Yes, I am a mom of 3 boys, who would have guessed!!! One day on the outside window of our cabin was a MONSTER bug, probably 1.5-2 inches long. It stayed there for more than a day and then it just disappeared! In the meantime this is what I had:

-- Pictures, so, soooooo many pictures (more proof of that to follow)

-- Sun, sand, surf, pool swimming, "backyard" playground, many loads of laundry hauled back and forth from the laundry room, and so many other things!

(note the child's head in the sand pile? Yeah, awesome.)

Success... for the most part!

Here's to another year of it all!

My Sis...

She is my oldest sister. We never really got along until we both started having kids just months apart... Then we had much to talk about. I called her for mom advice, nurse advice and friend advice.

I love her and what she has become to me.

Today is her birthday.

Lego Show (possibly Pt. 1)

We are lined up getting ready for the Lego Show that we have been told to be at at a certain time... Don't we look EXCITED?!?!

As the show commences, we learn that it is a show with their Lego creations as the star... See the upside-down pool in the middle? That is the "stage". Chris, Jake and Daniel talked for their creations, making them fight, fly, talk, and even die (I think).

Entranced audience...

At this point, Chris had taken his Legoman for a ride on the dragon...

I think maybe he was scared just a little bit...?

Hair Fun!!!

I am an Auntie to only 3 nieces.... and, boy, do I try to take advantage of the girlie time whenever it is possible!

One evening, Laura wanted her nails painted to match her purple band-aid on her foot. Well, the band-aid was gone, but we did purple on her toes and a beautiful light pink on her fingernails. She also took a shower so that she could have me braid her hair, it just so happens to be exactly what my hair was done like!!!

I tried to get it even...

Then we took it out on Sunday, and had semi-curly waves to match!

I willing to admit it, I am partial, but isn't she beautiful!?!?!?!?
