Much anticipated, long awaited...

... this last extended weekend was a blast! My entire family - 7 adults and 10 kids, ranging in ages from 8 yrs old to 7 months, came together for a weekend of sand & sun, good food & more good food, playing & fighting, games & movies. My sis from Australia was here with her brood, the youngest of which, at 7 months old, most of us had never met. And my eldest sis was down from Washington with her brood, too.

Isaac was his usual charming self, pushing Mandie or Nick over when he was around them...

Jakob D. Owings turns 6

Well, Jakob turns 6 today (and if you ask him, he turned 6 at 8:00 this morning!). I can't believe that 6 years has gone by already with him. He is a great kid that LOVES his Kindergarten class and is thriving learning Spanish. He is just a 1/4 inch shy of Christian, and weighs about the same. He is my Tank, and pretty much always has been! And if you can't tell by the pictures below, he LOVES red. So much so that his nickname is Mr. Red.

Here I go... I finally figured out how to get my camera to talk to my computer and now they are friends! I have so many things that I want to post about I really don't know where to start! But here are some random pics that I have taken with my wonderful new camera...

That is how I feel right now. I have been trying to get my camera to connect with my computer, but the 2 just aren't talking. They aren't even acknowledging each other! So I try my card reader - the new one that came with the camera. It won't fit into the USB port because it is too "fat". UG, again. I try my old card reader and after 20+ minutes waiting for those 2 to work out their differences and talk to each other, they refuse. So now I have A LOT of really cool pictures on my really cool new camera, and I can't get them onto my computer... UG.
