Isaac’s Stories

We were sorting batteries in the battery box with his teacher, Isaac says, “Those are ouchy batteries (pointing to the small disc batteries)” Teacher Kaitlyn asks, “Why?” Isaac points to his tongue. Evidently, when they are touched to his tongue, they hurt.

“I added an extra ‘a’ to my name, Teacher Kaitlyn. So you can change my name tag.”

“My favorite color is ORANGE. Mommy’s is PURPLE. Chris’ is BLUE and Jakob’s is RED. But Jakob’s other favorite color is PINK, cause he has a girlfriend. But she moved.”

“Teacher Kaitlyn is strong. She can pull my chair into the table with her FOOT!”

In class, playing with a magnifying glass that has a bug “holder” on it, Isaac says, “You can’t leave the bug in there too long cause if you do the bug will do this: (sticking out his tongue sideways, rolling eyes and tilting his head, as if he is dead)

Pinewood Derby 2012

It is that time of year again when the boys do the Pinewood Derby in Scouts!
They didn't hardly work on their cars until the same week and we were even putting the wheels on their cars that morning.

They all did pretty good though! Chris recieved 1st place in his Den!Even Isaac entered in the Outlaw Race... He was SO excited! And he almost beat the "reigning champ", Mr. Nall!
This was VERY common for this year. Not one race didn't have cars coming off the tracks. Isaac raced Mr. Nall MANY times before there was a winner!
We all had a blast! I realized when the race was almost over that this was Christian's last year entering as a Cub Scout... Next year he will be a Boy Scout and if he wants to enter, it will have to be in the outlaw class. Yikes. Where have the years gone?

What did he say?

Jakob is a boy of many languages...

Since kindergarden, he has been in a Spanish/English class, and now 4 years later is mostly fluent. However, that is not the only "language" he "speaks".

In case you couldn't understand what he said, "...and I speak Duck. Hello, What's up? I speak Duck and my name is Jakob! I like pie."

He constantly has us all in stitches! (you can probably hear me or mom laughing in the background!)

Yep. That's my boy! I am sooooo proud!
