Jakob Confesses

Jakob - "Isaac was silently crying, mom."
Mom - "You mean, you didn't hear him so you went into the room to check on him and woke him up?"
J - "Yeah!"
M - trying to hide the laughter and yet kinda upset... and sister sitting next to me on the couch isn't helping with this at all!

Camping 2009

Camping this year was awesome! (when isn't it?!?) Lots of fun, swimming, sand pits dug by all, crashing to sleep every night, great food, awesome company...

A makeshift "room" for Isaac in our 1-room cabin worked really well! (thanks to Command Hooks, string and sheets!)

And a fabulous craft orchestrated by Cousin Eric (in case you can't tell, they are decopaged quart jars for lanterns!)

And of course, bunnies everywhere!
It was over way too soon! Can't wait for next year!

Scout Camp

Sunday was the last day of Scout Camp and we were invited to come up for dinner and the last night awards and such. So, Jake, Isaac and I drove up there, had hamburgers, watermelon, chips and lemonade then watched the show...

All of the Scouts were given "rank advancements" to Sergent with a pin to prove it!

And to finish it all off, the traditional "Good Night Song" with all of the staff singing for everyone.

Some of the activities that Chris LOVED were BB gun shooting, archery, slingshots, GIANT water slide... Chris had so much fun that he said he couldn't wait till next year to go again - Does it have to be a year away?
