Merry Christmas! I pray that your Christmas was a time filled with friends and family and remembering what this season is really all about: Jesus and what He came down to Earth to do for us.
Blessings to you this holiday season!

Isaac: Grandma, I have a daughter.
Grandma: A daughter?
I: Yup. A daughter.
G: Oh! What’s her name?
I: Uncle Reroy.
G: (stifling laughter) How old is she?
I: 2 1/2
G: Well, it’s good that she’s younger than you.
I: Uh-Huh!!!
After a “too-long-in-the-bathroom” realization, this is what I found:![]()
I took a few pictures and just walked away.
Hey, he was having fun and it is just bubbles! Easily cleaned up!
Every year the boys’ Cub Scout Pack goes caroling to one of the local Retirement Communities.
This year we went to the same place that we went to last year.
It was a little bit less organized than it was last year, but I think the only ones that noticed were the parents that were there last year!
We all had fun singing a bunch of carols and the residents all enjoyed hearing our songs!
In just a matter of hours this:
Became this!
It was barely loose after school, but a collision with a fence assisted and out it came - at church!
Grandma: Isaac, what is Grandpa?
Isaac: Grandpa is a LION! Rrrooaarrr!!!
Grandma: Are you a lion too?
Isaac: Yep! Rrrooaarrr!!!!
OSM. Just OSM!
First it was this:
Then he got his Purple Cast.
Happy Boy. Wrist protected. Mommy happy too!
Then this happened:
(a chewed piece of the cast on my driveway)
And this:
So I did this:
(white duct tape
)
Then he had the Purple cast taken off and x-rayed.
Fracture healed!!!
But. Jakob complained that it still hurt. Oh boy.
Dr. checked it out, said that we could put him in a wrist brace,
but he would have to be careful with it for a few weeks.
-- OR --
we could re-cast it for protection.
To which I gave the Dr. and Jakob side-long glances and replied,
“Cast it.”
Jakob wasn’t very happy with me at first, but soon realized that he could have everyone sign it again and then all was right with the world for Jakob again!
He decided on Orange (a Oregon Beavers color) and we walked away with an orange cast with Christmasy sparkles on it.
I tried to take a picture of said orange cast, but stinker refused… oh well!
That afternoon, I trimmed their hair because they had their Christmas program.
Jakob wanted to take a quick shower after I was done, so I helped him cover his cast, started the shower for him and went off to trim Christian’s hair. That was MY mistake! When J was done we discovered that it was wet on the inside as far down as I could feel.
GREAT.
Phone call to the office and needless to say the next morning we were off to get another cast on Jakob.
So, this is cast #3:
He is just a bit happy with this one…
and I am surprised that it took him till cast #3 to get his favorite color – RED!
This cast will come off on December 23rd, right before Christmas.
Let’s all pray that there aren’t anymore “mishaps”!!!
