Handsome Easter Boys

My boys were so excited to have new ties, in their colors too!!

Before we went to church... Isaac wasn't a very happy boy, he just wanted to be held by mommy! But there always has to be a crier, right?

Mommy & my boys, all dressed up for Easter Sunday. What a blessing to be together for this wonderful day!

Thumbsucker

Laying on the couch, his eyes caught the TV and his hand goes up to his mouth, eventually catching his thumb in his mouth. It is happening more often when he is laying by himself...

lots of pictures!

Mohawk Brothers
I am not sure why they wanted mohawks that day, but if one has one, the other has to have one too! Christian actually got told that he isn't allowed to have a mohawk at school. That it would be too much of a distraction to the other kids.. WHATEVER!!!
Mirrors!
Isaac has discovered mirrors! Anytime one catches his eye, it just makes him smile!

Just sitting...

Nathan loves Isaac, sometimes a little too much! But here they were, sitting nice and quiet next to each other... Grandpa's Lap

Grandpa's lap was a little full. They all wanted to sit with grandpa while watching the movie (although I am not sure how much of the movie was actually watched...) Nathan was the last one up there and he was only getting up because he wanted to show Grandpa his Superman toy!

So sisters, you can't say, "Jill, why haven't you blogged?" This should be good enough to last me about a week, shouldn't it? ;)

what to do?

I love my boys, don't get me wrong. I am just at my wits end at what to do about lying. I caught Christian in 2 very obvious lies today. They both would have been pretty much no big deal, except he lied straight to my face when I asked him about them. The first time, he was out in the kitchen before anyone got up this morning, getting into the cupboard and up on the counter. He denied that he was up there, even though I heard him get down from the counter and run back to his room. The other lie was about writing in a book. We were reading on my bed before bedtime and at the end of the book, was a drawing and a note which was very obviously his handwriting. I asked him about it as well and he denied that it was him. We sat down later and talked about both of the lies and about how it is wrong to lie to anyone. How it is not OK and make it hard to trust the person that is lying. He admitted that he had lied and said that he was sorry. Both times I knew he was lying and told him as much. He wouldn't have gotten in as much trouble as he was in if he had just told the truth the first time! What to do, What to do!?!

blogging

I started out so well, blogging for a little while. Then I slacked off and couldn't start back up again. Imagine that, single mom of 3 boys trying to take a few minutes (or more) to play on the computer... So, here I am at Jenn's house with a few minutes to spare after we have all 5 kids in bed - at least 2 already asleep after only 15 minutes!

Mom, Dad & I are here at Jenn's house for the weekend, going to a parenting conference, called Parenting is Heart Work. We were at her church from 8:30am to 2:30pm with breaks and lunch. We didn't have to feed our children or anything for 6 hours! A welcome break, and learned some parenting tips and advice at the same time. So far a wonderful weekend, lovely break from our city.
