It's a story...

So this is a little bit of a story, but it's a good one.
Today, sitting at lunch, Christian says, "Mom, are you a moth or a cockroach?" Completely dumbfounded, my reply was, "HUH?" Then Chris says, "In class today we learned about how cockroaches runaway from God's light, and moths go towards God's light. I am a moth, I want to go to God's light. What about you, Mom?" The following conversation was hard to follow because Jakob chimed in with different bugs and it became a hilarious who is what bug... (do you have a banana seat on your bike? ;0 ) Anyway... Tonight we sit together on Christian's bed to pray. Christian prays, then Jake - "Prayer Jesus. Thank you for making me a moth. I want to fly to you. Please help me to fly to you, Jesus...." Out of the mouths of kids, straight to the ears of God.
Amen.

MOPS Playday

Friday we were at Church for a MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers) Playday and we were playing in the gym with all the kids. A friend of mine was there with her oldest daughter that has Cerebal Paulsey (?) and is in a wheelchair. After another boy had asked, Jakob asked if he could push Allison around in her wheelchair. Her mom and I looked at each other and said that he could as long as he walked and was careful. He was sooooooooo careful and watchful of the other kids. He was even singing songs to her as he walked her around. Allison was smiling and kicking her feet - enjoying being pushed around! Jakob was so proud of himself, he got many Kudos from me and the other moms. He really does have a tender heart.

A true picture of Isaac. He really does look like he is in a constant state of surprise most of the time! But, wow, does he look older than 4 1/2 months old in this picture!

Oh, Snap!

A quote from the movie "Chicken Little"... it has taken root in Christian's vocabulary. IE: Today, Christian and I were playing around on my bed. I had him trapped with my arms and legs, wrapped up and lovin' on him. He asked me to let him go and I told him that the only way that I would, would be for Jakob to get dressed and rescue him... His reply was, "Oh, snap." I just laughed!!!

the beginning of the end

So yesterday it all started. Isaac rolled over for the first time (tummy to back), completely surprised when he landed on his back! Today I laid him on the floor for a little bit so I could eat breakfast, and he almost had rolled over the other way (back to tummy), only his arm kept him from getting all the way over... Oh dear, now begins the mobile phase!
